Each month, IQDHO receives a multitude of information coming from Canada, the United States, Europe, Australia, etc. This information contributes to enrich the quality of services offered to the companies.

IQDHO’s Documentation Center has:

• More than 2 000 books distributed in 30 sections classified by topics, for example: Annual, Agroenvironment, Biological control...
• 60 subscriptions to publications, reviews and bulletins. In addition to these publications, the Institute receives a multitude of documentation of any nature (reports, cultural information, catalogues, phytosanitary warnings, etc) coming from everywhere in the world (42 countries).
• Statistics on the industry: Quebec, Canada, the United States and other countries.
• Books and summaries of conferences of which Ohio Short Course.
• Buyer’s guides, Who' S Who, PlantSources (Canada, the United States). Classification by country, provinces or states and by sector (nursery, greenhouse, general).
• Technical guides of the ministries for the agriculture of Quebec, of Ontario, of the Colombia-British and New England.
• Commercial catalogues (hard copies and CD) of plants and inert products of the principal companies representing the industry.
• Studies and research reports.

All this information is inventoried and classified.

It is thoroughly examined by the documentalists of IQDHO. They identify the information which must be indexed in HORTIDATA data bank (longevity and relevance of the information) versus that which must be the subject of a fast official statement (technical watch).
